Night Race

Seth raced with some stiff competition tonight. Started third, finished third - hopefully learned a few things.

Lane has three days until he can climb into his own car.

Let's Go Racing: North Carolina QMA

We had to drive through traffic for the big race in Charlotte this weekend to get to the track. You can look at the track at ncqma.com - it is pretty nice!

Patrick and Seth were very excited about the new car they found last weekend. Seth had a practice Friday night and Saturday morning.

The cars were lifting their left-side tires off the track on the turns.

When it was qualifying time Seth drew 3 out of 17 cars. He went out on the track with three other cars for batch qualifying and did a great job qualifying into 6th place - and the A Main!

It was a long day.

Seth had the advantage of watching other Jr. Honda drivers in the C Main and B Main.

When it was finally time for him to race it was 8PM. He started 6th finished 6th, but had good restarts (lots of yellow flags), managed his car well, and definitely learned some lessons for the next race against some of the fastest kids in the Southeast.

We are so proud of Seth - and when I asked him what he thought of being in that big raced, he said, "I'm amazed. I'm just amazed."

The Crummies

Me: "I will memorize all your accomplishments in your life. But I will also know the crummy things you do too. I love you the same-whether we are talking about the accomplishments or the crummies."

Seth: "Thank you Mom."
