Seth Qualifies great at North Georgia

Seth and Dad really hit on a good set up for North Georgia this weekend. Seth went as fast as he has ever gone, right up there with some fast cars this weekend. He qualified 5th, .002 behind 4th, .005 behind 3rd. For the invert they rolled a 5 and Seth was to start on the pole!

He took the warm-up laps and lined it up. They were in the process of taking the green flag, and he was turned from behind - it was a big mess.

He was up in the air, Dad speculates those shocks are done. And the chain got caught up in the motor, requiring some pounding:

That is the first time they have stood Seth up in the race to work on the car. That must've been wild for him!

He went back out with a loose, different machine than he started with, but he got back up to 8th. This kid can drive anything, but I sure would've loved to see him lead from the front in that fast car he had at the start of the race!

Seth did a great job all day, but the toughest parts had to be after that wreck.

Soccer Season Openers

Both boys had opening soccer games today.

Seth played first (but Lane had pictures in the middle of his game, so we missed a bit!

Seth plays mid-field, today he had one shot on goal and it hit the post. His team is full of awesome players: two boys had 3 goals, and two other boys scored once. His team won their season opener!

I am very pleased how much better Lane is this year than last year. Lane had six shots on goal, and if he only had three goals he also had one very solid assist. He is one of the few kids taking shots and able to carry the ball down the field. And his team won as well!

Great efforts by everyone - and all were rewarded at our favorite pizza place.
